Goodbye

Do you know how long I've waiting
to feel you love me?
Others say you do
but words don't pierce the heart in love
like words of hate do

You say we are too much alike to get along
you say such things happen
it's nothing to get hung upon

I've forgiven the words
blocked out the sorrow
held on to hope
walked hopeless awhile

We can't now have what never was
you're on your way home
~high above

I've walked without you for so long
it's odd I would want you now
time is gone for us
to mend the wounds
and erase the space
that we've grown accustom to

Would feel more empty
than empty ever could

I wish for you a safe travel
to find the peace you've been searching for
but my last selfish wish would be
you say my name once more
before you cross the clouds
 and meet heavens door.

Life

A fish who longs to be in water
A bird who can not wait to fly
A snake who wishes to recoil
A mole searching for better ground

Sky so lifted to give space
Moon afraid to show his shape
Hides behind a blanket of night
Stars blink to share their light

Oceans anger crashes down
Beaches lying with the sand
Rocks climb to stand tall
Wind watches them all fall

Mountain tall enough to roar
Let loose his inner being
Earth was burned
to begin again.
Gave life back to the living.

I'm not just a Mark

 I'm not just a Mark.

I'm a Book Mark.

Have you heard of them?

They are all the rage.

They take you so many amazing places.

They are highly revered, some not so much,

but that's the beauty of the Book.

There's something new in each one.

From start to finish, and in between

an adventure to go on,

a mystery to solve,

a lost love to cry over.

Then this is where I come in...

I Mark the spot.

Whenever you need to,

grab a cup of coffee, a tissue, use the Bathroom...there I am.

To keep your adventures right where you left them.
